History of flashlight and its benefits
The history of flashlights dates back in the 19th century when Joshua Lionel Cowen invented the flashlights in 1898. In the beginning it was hard to market the product hence the patent was sold to Conrad Hubert. The company started selling the lights but there where a few demerits as the flashlights used zinc carbon batteries which was very inefficient and ran only for a short while.
Due to the inefficiency in the battery the light would work only for a few minutes and then take a while to relight. Due to its short period of lighting it was named as flashlights. Now there have been a lot of advancement in the technology and there are various types of flashlights or electrical torch or torch having efficient batteries and longer lighting period.
The equipment is designed with a small luminous bulb and batteries that supply the bulb the current to glow. It has also got an electric power switch on its body to control the lighting of the bulb by switching on or off the switch. The equipment provides light and can be carried along as it very handy and small sized, and can be kept in a backpack.
These electrical torches come under various designs and are found to be the most useful camping equipment in all the households. They can be carried wherever you go and provide light at darkness. The basic designs of the torch are usually cylindrical there are also other torches which are very compact or small. A few key chains also come with torch. There are also torch knives used to cut birthday cakes.
Nowadays when you go for a camping or hiking it is essential that you carry a torch along with you. The manual for camping at schools or colleges usually specify to carry it along with the campers. It is very useful while you are in the camp and when it grows dark if you need to go outside your tent the light form the torch can guide you on your way.
The torch is a handy device that can be used at all places when you go outside in the dark or at night the device provides you light hence you can walk safely and steadily. When the power at your home goes using a torch you can walk through your room. Even the doctors use them to check the patience mouth, ears or nose. They examine you with a torch since they provide spot lights and are brighter and sharper than ordinary lights.
The miners cap consists of flashlights which is quite essential for them to wear before they go inside the mine. The invention of the torch has brought in revolution. Almost the entire population considers the torch to be an indispensable device in their normal living.
