An excellent location to camp at to use your gear
For the fisherman and woman in all of us Crawley Lake is one magical place to be when fishing pole season begins on last Saturday of every April through October 31. Crawley Lake is a great spot to take that new camping gear you have been itching to use. It’s also where you can catch the best fish and take it back to a great camping ground to cook and serve.
Opening weekend at Crawley Lake hosts the largest festivities in the Eastern Sierra. The opening day BIG FISH contest has every angler in competition for cash, prizes and trophy’s given by a gentleman that goes by the name of Fred J. Hill in accordance with Crawley Lake Fish Camp which has some of the best hiking trails and camping equipment in the area.
This beautiful and peaceful lake is located 25 miles north of Bishop on Highway 395. It offers some of the most prestigious water events, fishing and other outdoor equipment, individual or group family camping spots in California. The huge man made, one of a kind reservoir is a domestic water system for Los Angeles.
The lake is 12 miles long and 5 miles at its widest point but be careful there is no tomfoolery allowed. Crawley Lake is a facility known for storing the Eastern High Sierra snow and rain water. When the reservoir is filled, it becomes an anglers greatest delight.
